JVC Mini LED 98 Inch 4K Google TV

JVC 98NM7145 98-Inch Mini LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV – 120 Hz, Dolby Vision & Atmos, 800-Nit Brightness

The JVC 98NM7145 is not a television: it is a wall-sized cinema powered by Mini LED backlighting, a 120 Hz panel, Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos immersive audio, and the full Google TV ecosystem. With 800 nits of peak brightness, a 6000:1 contrast ratio, and MEMC motion smoothing, this is the most commanding, cinematic screen JVC offers anywhere in the world.

Mini LED: Thousands of Dimming Zones for Perfect Contrast

Standard LED TVs use a limited number of large backlight zones, causing bright objects to bleed light into surrounding dark areas. Mini LED technology replaces those with thousands of smaller, independently controlled LEDs for dramatically more precise local dimming. On a 98-inch panel, the improvement is staggering: stars appear as pinpoint lights against genuinely black sky. Explosions blaze with intensity while the surrounding frame stays dark and controlled. Candles glow warmly without washing out the shadows. The 6000:1 contrast ratio and 800 nits of peak brightness mean the picture maintains stunning depth and vibrancy in any lighting condition, from the sun-drenched afternoons of coastal Sidon to the blacked-out movie nights of a Beirut penthouse.

120 Hz Panel with MEMC Motion Smoothing

The 98NM7145 features a native 120 Hz refresh rate that doubles the frame output of standard 60 Hz panels. Fast-moving content like football, Formula 1, and competitive gaming looks noticeably smoother and sharper. MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) further refines motion by generating intermediate frames, eliminating judder during panning shots and keeping fast objects crisp. On a 98-inch display where motion blur is amplified by the sheer screen size, the combination of 120 Hz and MEMC is transformative. Every Lebanese matchday gathering, every movie marathon, and every gaming session benefits from this fluid, blur-free performance.

Dolby Vision HDR: Scene-by-Scene Mastering

Dolby Vision dynamically optimises contrast, colour, and brightness for every frame, unlike static HDR10 which applies a single curve to the entire film. On a 98-inch Mini LED panel with 800 nits of brightness, the dynamic range is breathtaking: bright highlights glow with real intensity while shadows recede into genuine darkness. Combined with Mini LED’s precise local dimming, Dolby Vision content on the 98NM7145 approaches the visual quality of a commercial Dolby Cinema installation.

Dolby Atmos: Immersive 3D Sound

The 98NM7145 delivers Dolby Atmos through its built-in speakers, creating a three-dimensional soundscape where effects move above, around, and behind you. A thunderstorm rumbles overhead. A car chase sweeps from left to right and back again. Dialogue anchors to the screen while ambient sound fills the room. On a 98-inch TV that dominates an entire wall, Dolby Atmos audio matches the cinematic scale of the picture, delivering an experience that most viewers will find genuinely immersive without external speakers.
